The team's Salesforce data model runs to more than 1,000 objects, and the built-in schema browser was too slow to be usable during design reviews and impact analysis — so people guessed, or stopped looking.
Built a tool that lets the team browse the whole object model offline, so a lookup takes as long as the question does rather than as long as the platform does.
Now used by 83 team members. Design reviews and impact analysis run against the real schema instead of around it.
